The Presence of God

The bible says in the book of Exodus 33 that God was moving with the congregation of Israel while he was taking them to the promised land. the bible says that there was a time when this congregation became a stiff-necked people, who could not follow what God told them anymore. And God said “I am not going to walk with you anymore, I am going to send an angel to go with you” he said “because if I go with you, I will kill all of you on the way.” Now listen to what Moses says, Moses says “Lord, we don’t want angels to accompany us on this journey, we want your presence to go with us, for, he said, what shall distinguish us upon the face of the earth if not thine presence be with us?”

What I wanted to say is this: it is only the presence of the Lord that distinguishes you from others upon the face of the Lord. I have seen the Lord’s faithfulness. Moses said Lord I want to see your glory. I tell you church if you carry the glory of God, you will see the mighty hand of the Lord upon your life, anytime, any day, anyhow, anywhere.

Alleluia! So, go for the glory of God.

Angels are good, but the presence of the Lord is better. The bible says again in Malachi 13 that the time is coming and the time is now when the Lord will distinguish between the righteous and the unrighteous, between they that serve me, and they that serve me not. Go for the glory of God and you will be distinguished to the glory of God.
